What's that got to do with it? The Warrior Forum is simply selling advertising space to WSO sellers.

You can hardly expect them to inspect in detail the contents of every product offered for sale here, can you?! It's not as if they're involved in the sale.

If they're all that unethical, or if they're stolen content themselves, or whatever, you can always contact the Moderators, adducing evidence, and if they don't like what they see, they'll close the thread and sometimes ban the member concerned. Plenty of WSO's have been closed down under those and similar circumstances.

And you certainly can't openly advocate stuff here that breaches third parties' terms of service.

I have seen many warrior forum users who post unethical ways to earn money online, they give us PDF's which contain those ways. i just wanted to inquire that we can promote these ways or not?

I gave you the answer. The forum does not generally condone blackhat topics or products. Do some people promote unethical products? Yes. People get away with stuff. Want to try it out and see what happens? Go ahead.

        • Thanks

If you see a pdf or product that you deem questionable contact the moderators about it. In the past many WSO's have been shut down and plenty of people have been banned from this forum.

Just make sure you cover your butt as well... (make sure you have evidence, etc)

  • Just want to throw this out there, Backhat doesn't necessarily mean illegal.

It's just supposedly 'un-ethical'. But what is un-ethical? I'm sure we all have different meanings for the term.

    Just some food for thought.

Unethical is something you don't want done to you.

As Suzanne said, we don't inspect every page of every product.

The forum does NOT endorse products advertised here. The fact that someone gets away with something doesn't mean it's considered acceptable.

  • not trying to hate, but i really dont get why people go blackhat... scaming others (refering to ewhoring, etc) is such a bad thing... blackhatters have no moral.

    • Thanks

  • blackhat isn't unethical, but that doesn't mean there aren't unethical people using blackhat methods, much like there are many unethical people using whitehat methods.

Blackhat is a way of influencing a search engine to produce a desired result as quickly as possible, often breaking the TOS of the search engine/website. It does not mean scamming people.

Whitehat is a process of influencing a search engine to produce a desired result, too, but within the confines of the search engine's/website's TOS.

Blackhat often utilises software to achieve their goals and are often associated with spamming links, buying links and buying retweets. Things like that. This isn't inherently "bad" or "immoral".

FYI, It was discovered recently that half of Obama's and Lady Gaga's twitter followers are fake, so blackhat methods are widespread amongst established marketing firms, too.

Having said that, as others have noted it is against this forum to promote blackhat methods, but if you're paying for a thread in a WSO then some blackhat methods may slip by.

    • It depends on what you mean by "black hat" and what the product actually is. Right now the thread is pure speculation.

For instance, Google's webmaster rules prohibit keyword stuffing, hiding text on a page, and buying backlinks.

Some thus consider those issues "black hat" because Google does not allow them.

Excuse me, but since when did Google create laws for the Internet that others have to follow?

Those are just Google's advertised guidelines, which may or may not influence its search rankings. But ya know what, if I want to keyword stuff, hide text, and buy backlinks - that is my business and my right to do so on my website.

It likely means Google will drop-kick my website, but that is Google's business and its right to do so on its website.

Sometimes "black hat" is used as a marketing technique because it will get more buyers.

But that's just my personal opinion. The opinions that matter are the moderators, who have years of experience reviewing thousands of offers.

As a matter of full disclosure I wrote some of the rules for what is allowed and not allowed, which may not reflect my personal opinion.

The forum prohibits anything illegal. The forum also prohibits certain types of products, even if legal. Finally, the forum is flexible and reserves the right to prohibit any product, even if legal, even if "white hat" and the moderator's decision is final.

      • Brian,

That's why I waited and quoted the one with "unethical" in it.

As far as Google... Yeah. People confuse their listing/ranking standards with some sort of "terms of service" agreement. A common misconception.

There are things forbidden in G's guidelines that are also unethical, though. Spamming someone else's site for backlinks, in ways the site owner doesn't approve and which cost them money or other resources for the sole benefit of the spammer, as one example.

Personal opinion: Link spammers should all be dropped from the net for a year or three, and made to clean up graffiti as community service. If they were spamming porn or warez, make them clean up graffiti in gang neighborhoods.

What are your views on Amazon's flagrant use of blackhat methods, including keyword stuffing, hidden keywords, listing items that aren't and never will be available through their site?
